Good morning panda families, Sorry for the late newsletter this week. I was out for PD and just came back today! Here are some wonderful learning moments of last week: 1. In Mandarin, we had fun in center learning! Third graders were playing a throwing ball activity to hit the characters they know. Second graders were practicing how we introduce ourselves by saying/writing our names! 2. In science last week, we finished designed our own zoomers and observed patterns when spinning. Then we started to make twirlers and twirly bird to test how to make them fly. 3. Congrats to Dante for being a risk-taker! He tries hard to use new strategies in math and use new words in Mandarin. Reminders for next week:
1. On Thursday, October 31st we will be having Character Day, students are able to dress up as their favorite character (students choosing not to participate should come to school in regular school uniform). Costumes should not distract from learning and should not have any masks or fake weapons. 2. Math learning schedule for the upcoming week: 2nd grade: Module 4 Lesson 1 (Monday), Lesson 2 (Tuesday), Lesson 3 (Wednesday), Lesson 4 (Thursday) and Lesson 5 (Friday) 3rd grade: Module 2 Lesson 20 (Monday), Lesson 21 (Tuesday), end of module assessment (Wednesday), Module 3 Lesson 1 (Thursday) and Lesson 2 (Friday) If the student is out of school for any reason, please follow the schedule and finished Problem Set and Homework at home so that when student comes back, he/she can catch up. A great resource for you if you need help with any math lesson!!
