Good evening panda friends. There are so many things going on in the past two/three days and we hope we have enough materials for students to learn from home. Below are some learning moments of last week's learning. 1. For math, 2nd graders continued practicing arrays with repeated addition. 2. In social study, we learned how goods are brought to us. 1. GALA will be closed for three weeks. Monday, March 16 will be a “Packet Pickup” Day from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Please consider come and pick up learning materials in cafeteria for your child for the next three weeks. Good evening panda friends. Here are some learning moments of last week: 1. In the Mandarin center time, 2nd graders read the book by themselves and played matching games on Quizlet. 2. In math this week, 2nd graders kept practicing rows and columns, and got more familiar with array. 3. Monday was Dr. Seuss's birthday! We celebrated it by reading One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. 4. This week is the last week of the SAFE Buddies program. Students reviewed the strategies they've learned in the past 6 weeks. Students prepared what they wanted to share and asked teachers/friends for how to say it in Mandarin! 2. In Social Study this week, we learned how to be a wise consumer to prepare for our West Side Market field trip! We also practiced how to use the budget to create a shopping list! 3. In third grade math this week, we learned about the equivalent fraction by making our own designs. 4. This week is E for Embrace in SAFE Buddies Program. We talked about when you have concerns, who should be your trusted adults to talk to. 5. This week's golden turtle winner is Luke for being balanced! Congrats! 6. On Friday, we were so excited to go to the West Side Market! Student each has $10 for budget and tries hard to be wise consumer!
