Check out these beautiful flowers!!! We made them on Wednesday and gave them to moms during Friday Assembly.
We sang the Chinese song "我的好妈妈" on stage!
And we also made Mother's day card this afternoon!
This week we started to learn animals. We focused on caterpillars and how they turn to butterflies. We also have a cup of 6 caterpillars to observe every day! We write journals to record their changes.
We had so much fun today! We made bunny ear headband, and it looks really cute on them!
Plus, we were hunting for the Easter eggs in the class room, check out where I hide them!
They will have a Easter treat bag from Huang Laoshi if they can find 3 eggs and answer the questions inside (read the Chinese characters or do the math questions!)
This week we started to learn about plants. We identified and labelled different parts of the plant, and what plants need to grow.
We finally had our Olive Garden free lunch! Good work everybody for collecting money for kids in need!
We're so glad to invite a local folk musician and songwriter Bob Sammon on Thursday! Students had a good time listening to the music, asking questions, and creating sounds.
This week we started our new PYP unit: People, animals and plants. We talked about what is living/non-living things and how to identify them. We checked whether they need food/water, breathe, move, grow or reproduce (five characteristics) to figure out their categories.
We also learned how living things move: walk/run/hop, fly, or swim.
Let's say hi to our new friend, Annaliese! She is a kindergartner and she is so excited to make friends in panda!
We made it!!! It was a successful science fair with so much students' efforts. They did an amazing job making display board and explaining their experiments during the science fair.
